  Rang today to book for cervical screen test as mine is due and local NHS surgery has a minimum 6 week wait. I am fortunate to live between two BMI hospitals and assumed as I was self paying private would be able to get an appointment fairly quickly. I am self employed but have Mondays off. Ridgeway Swindon only run 'clinics' that perform these tests on Wednesday or Friday morning for a female consultant, and Bath Clinic's first available appointment Thursday 24th November (remember I said I have Mondays off??!)
  Their website, and I quote " Fast access to treatment:
  you could be seen by a consultant within 24hrs of your booking."
  Also, I quote " Appointment times to suit you:
  we work around your diary to ensure little disruption as possible in your life."
  Well clearly both those statements are untrue!
  I used to go to the Bath Clinic many years ago before it was taken over by BMI and it was totally different then. Such a shame that BMi is simply an expensive NHS.
